  1. Heat butter. Heat a large skillet(or any large heavy-bottomed pan)over medium-high heat and add the first 1 tablespoon portion of butter.
  2. Cook seafood. Once the butter starts to bubble, add the 1 pound of seafood mix, ¼ teaspoon salt, and ¼ teaspoon of pepper. Cook until it is no longer translucent while stirring often, about 3 minutes.
  3. Transfer seafood. Use a slotted spoon to take out the seafood mix and transfer it to a bowl or plate. Set aside for later.
  4. Clean pan. Remove any excess liquid by pouring it out and quickly wiping the pan clean with paper towels.*Be careful, as the pan will still be hot, or you can choose to use another large skillet.
  5. Saute. Add the second 1 tablespoon portion of butter. Once it is melted, add 2 teaspoons of minced garlic to the skillet and saute for 30-60 seconds.
  6. Add cream. Reduce the heat from medium to low and pour in the heavy cream. Bring the mixture to a simmer(about 1 minute).
  7. Add ingredients. Add 3 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese and stir until melted. Then add the seafood mix and stir into the cream sauce. Cook for 1 minute so the seafood warms in the sauce, then remove from heat.
  8. Serve. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of chopped dill over your seafood mix for garnish and serve immediately.

This creamy seafood mix would taste wonderful on top of toasted slices of French bread or cheddar bay biscuits as an appetizer! You can also toss it with pasta like my garlic Parmesan angel hair pasta or cream cheese pasta for a filling dinner! Enjoy!

💭 Angela's Tips & Recipe Notes

  • Set your seafood mix out to thaw in the fridge the night before.
  • To defrost the seafood mix quickly, place the mixture under cold running water for about 10 minutes or transfer it to a resealable bag and submerge it in a cold water bath. Use a plate to weigh the bag down if needed.
  • Use fresh garlic cloves over jarred minced garlic for the best flavor results. But if you don't have the extra time to mince the garlic, jarred minced garlic works in a pinch.
  • Add a pinch of cayenne pepper if you like a little 'kick' in your creamy pasta sauce.
  • Serve the creamy seafood mix over thick slices of bread, such as a baguette, for a tasty appetizer, or add it to your favorite type of pasta to make a seafood dinner.
