She is survived by her husband, Hullie Garrett, Jr. of Durham, N.C.; one son, Dwight Garrett of Durham, N.C.; four daughters: Yvonne, Dianne, Kimberly and Wanda Garrett all of Durham, N.C.; eight sisters: Gertrude Hall and Geneva Belton of Baltimore, Betty Brodie of Boston, Claretta Hazel of Newark, Mary McKoy of Raleigh, N.C.; and Sally Robinson, Pearlena Burnette and Doretha Harris all of Durham, N.C.; three brothers: Walter Bass; Curtis Bass of of Durham, Boston, N.C.; and and a host James of relatives and friends.
