Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Deliver on-air news events in an engaging, exciting, and accurate manner
• Use editorial judgment to help determine the content of the newscasts
• Produce and create unique, fast-paced newscasts
• Use social *** to determine the content of newscasts and highlight big social stories
• Use creative production techniques such as graphics and new forms of *** (viewer pictures, webcam interviews, etc.) to enhance newscasts and stories
• Write for the web and post daily on all digital platforms including social *** and attach images and streaming video
• Interview news subjects and research for facts and credibility

Job Summary/Description:

****-TV, the number one rated station in Toledo, Ohio is currently seeking an evening News Anchor/MMJ. This candidate must be able to research, shoot, write, and edit daily reports for television, digital, and social platforms. This person is also expected to pitch story ideas daily that are interesting compelling, and also consistent with the station's brand. Developing contacts and sources in the community is also a must. The ideal candidate should have previous experience as a news anchor and at least three years of experience as an MMJ for a broadcast news station, and be able to handle breaking news and live field coverage. This person must also have strong writing skills and be able to work well under pressure.

* Minimum three years of newsroom experience preferred. A college degree in journalism or related field.
